Spices

Today we got to smell different spices and rate what our favourites were. We smelt Cinnamon, Ginger, Smoked Paprika, Cumin, Chinese Five Spice and  Nutmeg.

Drinking Milo

In Kotuku today we made cups of Milo. We all got to drink the hot, sweet Milo. 

Samoa

we read the book Lavalava and learnt lots about Samoa. Read our stories to see what we found out.

Rods

Hunter is recording points for the best structures out of the rods. They are discussing ways to make them stronger as well

Making books

These girls are working on their writing and drawing skills by making their very own book. We can’t wait for them to share it with everyone.

Hair salon

Mrs Galletly made an appointment at the hair salon this morning. She got her hair washed, coloured and cut.

Maths

Today the girls used the iPads for their maths. They then decided they needed some cubes to help them work out the answers. 

Building

This morning two groups of boys have been working together to create a block city and an army base.

Magnetic words

Lucas is working hard to read all the different words.

Block Play

Today Imri made Thor’s Hammer because Hammer starts with our letter of the week. Imri also had a picture of Thor on his top. 

Hairdresser

We had a hair salon in Kotuku today. The hairdressers were very clever and used their fingers as scissors.
